Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead automated manufacturing test solutions for DC charging products across prototype to mass production. You will transform requirements into scalable test systems, drive Design for Testability, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to ensure product quality.

You will validate new products and software releases, support NPI and ramp-up, and leverage data-acquisition and remote-control technologies to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/test engineering or test automation.
• Experience in EV charging, automotive, or embedded systems.
• Strong programming using Python or C#.
• Knowledge of end-to-end black-box validation and test-case design.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, JTAG, and API testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and improve automated end-of-line and in-line tests.
• Translate requirements into traceable test specs and automated flows.
• Plan end-to-end black-box validation for new products and software releases.
• Collaborate with hardware/software teams to drive Design for Testability.
• Test prototypes and pilot builds through production ramp-up.
• Investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Specify and deploy production fixtures and data-acquisition systems.
• Manage repositories, PRs, defects, CI/CD, and release governance.
• Work with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure test standards.
