Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Operations Test Engineering team, developing automated manufacturing test solutions for high-power AC/DC and DC/DC converters used in EV charging products.

You will collaborate with power electronics, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers across the full test lifecycle from prototype to mass production, translating specs into effective test strategies and deploying production test equipment.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE or related field.
• Up to 3 years in power electronics or test automation.
• Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC concepts.
• Hands-on with electrical instrumentation.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated test methods for AC/DC and DC/DC converter stages.
• Define test coverage ensuring compliance with safety and quality.
• Support the full manufacturing-test lifecycle from prototyping to mass production.
• Translate specifications into production-ready test strategies.
• Define, automate, deploy production test equipment and fixtures.
• Investigate failures and drive corrective actions with data.
