Job summary

Mainspring Energy is hiring for a senior SDET/Software Engineer to build and run automated testing systems, ensuring product quality across hardware/software integrations. You will collaborate with developers to understand new features and create innovative automated testing solutions within tight constraints.

You will influence test strategies, design scalable frameworks, and drive end-to-end validation of complex systems, with emphasis on reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years in an SDET or Software Engineering role.
• Strong test architecture mindset; architect scalable automated systems that increase developer velocity.
• Proven ability to design and lead automation projects, including deep-dive manual testing and technical test design

Responsibilities

• Architect Automation: design and scale robust test frameworks and CI/CD integrations
• System Validation: create workflows to validate complex hardware/software integrations and resolve system bottlenecks
• Root Cause Analysis: lead failure analysis and risk mitigation to ensure test stability
• Strategic Coverage: drive risk-based testing strategies for comprehensive coverage of critical-path functionalities
