Job summary

SpryPoint Services Inc. is seeking a Senior SDET to build test automation from the ground up. You’ll design a framework, author API, integration, and UI tests, and introduce AI-assisted tooling to accelerate testing.

You’ll join early on a new team and shape testing patterns for the whole org, collaborating with QA and product squads. In 90 days you’ll have a proof-of-concept suite running in CI on high-risk flows, with six-month coverage of critical journeys, reduced flaky tests, and faster

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software test automation or software engineering with a focus on testing.
• Strong coding in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with a modern automation framework (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium).
• API testing experience and SQL/database validation ability.
• CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Cloud (AWS) and Docker knowledge.
• Risk-based mindset for what to automate.
• Experience with AI coding assistants or AI test-generation tools.
• Ability to write effective prompts for tests and failures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the test automation framework and standards.
• Write and maintain automated API, integration, and UI tests.
• Prioritize tests by risk and value, favor API tests when possible.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD for fast feedback on changes.
• Reduce flakiness and ensure trustworthy test suites.
• Evaluate AI testing tools and apply them to testing workflows.
• Review AI-generated tests and code critically.
• Mentor engineers on automation practices across squads.
