Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA automation experience and building automation frameworks.
• 1+ years with MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
• Strong programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, or C#.
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter.
• Experience defining and reviewing test cases and test plans.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins; ability to identify business risks.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading convenience retail and store technology provider, is seeking a Sr. Test Automation Engineer to join their team. We are seeking an experienced QA automation professional to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of store technology solutions. This role will focus on designing and building automation frameworks, developing test strategies, identifying business risks, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong QA automation experience, hands‑on programming skills, and experience with tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to improve test coverage and deliver high-quality technology solutions.

Contract Details

Contract type and duration: Contract, 6 months Work location: Irving, TX Work arrangement: Onsite, 5 days per week

Core Responsibilities

• Identify business risks and contribute to user story definition
• Define, develop, and review test cases, test plans, and overall test strategies
• Design and build automation frameworks from scratch and continuously improve automated test coverage
• Perform web testing and contribute to quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 6+ years of QA automation experience, including building automation frameworks from scratch
• 1+ years of experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
• Strong programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, or C#
• Hands‑on experience with one or more tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter
• Experience defining and reviewing test cases and test plans
• Ability to identify business risks and contribute to user story definition
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to quality
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical teams

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay rate for this position is $42.00 and $60.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
