Qualifications

• Hands-on automation engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Practical experience with Cassandra and SQL/Oracle databases.
• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Develop and manage Terraform modules and infrastructure as code.

Job Summary Our client is seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation across our environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Ansible, Terraform, Linux systems, scripting, and database environments including Cassandra and Oracle. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys automating infrastructure and operational processes, troubleshooting complex environments, and building reliable, maintainable solutions. The role will also leverage AI‑assisted development tools, with an emphasis on independent engineering judgment and ownership of the resulting code.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, deployment, and operational tasks
• Develop and manage Terraform modules and infrastructure as code
• Perform Linux system administration and troubleshooting
• Support and maintain Cassandra and SQL/Oracle database environments

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Experience in Automation Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related role
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ansible
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Practical experience with Cassandra and SQL/database environments
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or a similar language
• Experience with Git and CI/CD concepts
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice‑to‑Haves)

• Experience with Oracle databases
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Experience with additional configuration management or IaC tools such as Puppet, Chef, or CloudFormation
• Understanding of basic Wi‑Fi and networking concepts
• Experience supporting infrastructure across multiple environments

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $37.00 and $53.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
