Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Software Engineer in Cardiac Rhythm Management R&D to advance automated test systems for implantable devices. You will modernize legacy LabVIEW solutions to Python and C#, build reusable DLLs, and integrate with LabVIEW and hardware testing environments.

You will apply strong Python/C#/.NET skills, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor teammates while ensuring compliance with medical device development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience OR 5+ with a master's, or 3+ with a PhD.
• Strong expertise in Python, C#, and .NET for multi-component systems.
• Experience in metadata-driven frameworks using reflection and attributes.
• Experience with AI in software development and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for automated test systems for implantable cardiac devices.
• Define software architecture, interfaces, and integration strategies for test platforms.
• Support transition from LabVIEW to Python and C# based frameworks.
• Develop AI-enabled test tools as part of modernization.
• Create C# applications in Visual Studio; build DLLs for LabVIEW and Python integration.
• Improve architecture, processes, and system design; drive validations.
• Lead technical reviews and mentor engineers across disciplines.
• Manage requirements, traceability, and validation workflows per quality system.
