Job summary

Port Houston seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee vessel, gate, and container yard operations in Texas. You will manage ILA Local 1351 and 28 staff, coordinate 24/7 road and terminal activities, and ensure safe, efficient movement of ships, cargo, and equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a maritime-focused degree or extensive related experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to develop operational plans and reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Supervisory and performance management experience.
• Knowledge of stevedoring and terminal operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day vessel, gate and container yard operations.
• Supervise ILA Local 1351 and 28 staff and manage performance.
• Coordinate terminal allocations and crane/equipment utilization.
• Maintain safety, incident reporting and liaise with port authorities.
