Job summary

Kier is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to join our team across multiple UK locations. The role involves temporary works design, checking, and providing technical support from concept through delivery, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement (up to 1-2 days from home).

You should be an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng), with practical construction experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) with equivalent experience.
• Strong grounding in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering principles and design standards.
• Experience in temporary works design and/or management and practical construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of temporary works design and checking, review of permanent designs for buildability and compliance.
• Support tenders and pre-construction planning; provide technical support during construction stages and after-delivery.
• Develop and mentor team members; drive continuous improvement of processes and systems.
