Kier is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our team in the UK, contributing to temporary works design and management across diverse projects from concept through delivery.
You will work within a large, collaborative group, delivering complex engineering services with a focus on safety, buildability and sustainability. The role offers hybrid working options and a pathway toward chartered status.
We're looking for civil, structural and/orgeotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.
Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
40 hours per week – flexibility on hours available if desired

Join us as a Temporary Works Design Engineerand become part of one of the UK's leaders in temporary works design and management and construction-related technical services. As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline – supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.
Contributing to the delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including some or all of: temporary works design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
