Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a highly experienced Sr Structural Engineer to lead temporary works design across multiple projects. You will develop drawings, perform analyses, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe construction practices.

Qualifications

• Accredited B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D.
• Ability to travel/relocate as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods.
• Prepare heavy lift plans and erection procedures.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.
• Perform structural analysis for temporary conditions of bridges, buildings, tunnels, etc.
• Support excavation systems and temporary structures.
• Review others’ calculations and ensure quality deliverables.
• Assist in project management: budgets, schedules, QA, client coordination.
• On-site design engineering support and inspections.
