Patelco Credit Union in Hayward, CA is seeking a Senior Member Service Teller to deliver high-quality service by assessing members' needs while processing transactions efficiently. You will build relationships with members and educate them on products and services that support their financial health.

The role includes opening accounts and submitting simple loan applications after needs assessments, engaging with members through follow-up and events, and working with branch leadership to maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of prior customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
• Ability to be professional and understanding in all interactions.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Passion for providing exceptional service, integrity, and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to diverse members through prompt, courteous, and professional interactions.
• Analyze members' needs while processing transactions, including cash handling, and educate on products and services.
• Build relationships with members through effective listening, interviewing, and communication skills.
• Open accounts and submit simple loan applications after needs assessment to determine suitable products.
• Engage with members via follow-up activities and community events as appropriate.
• Partner with branch leadership to maintain operational integrity while mitigating risk.
• Work cross-functionally to handle complex inquiries or concerns.
• Adopt new tools to enhance member experience and consultation process.
• Exercise informed judgment to accommodate members.
• Train new and existing team members as appropriate.
• Advocate adoption of new technology and digital products.
