Job summary

Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Teller (Senior Member Service Representative) to deliver high‑quality service and process transactions at our branches. You will assess members’ needs, open accounts, and help with simple loan applications, while educating customers on products to support their financial health.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to work some evenings and Saturdays. Travel may be needed and the position offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of customer service experience within financial services or related environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to our diverse members through prompt, courteous, and professional interactions.
• Analyze members' needs while processing transactions, including cash handling, and provide education and recommendations on products and services.
• Build relationships with members to determine products and services that benefit their financial well‑being.
• Open accounts and submit simple loan applications after a needs assessment.
• Engage with new and existing members via follow‑up activities and community events.
• Partner with branch leadership to maintain operational integrity while mitigating risk.
• Adopt new tools to enhance the member experience and consultation process.
