Job summary

Patelco Credit Union is hiring a Senior Member Service Representative (Teller) to deliver high-quality service at our Northern California branches. You will assess members' needs during transactions, educate on products, and build lasting relationships while promoting digital banking tools.

The position requires 1–2 years of customer service in financial services or related fields, and flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service experience in financial services, food, hospitality or retail

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to diverse members with prompt, courteous, and professional interactions
• Analyze member needs while processing transactions and advise on products to improve financial health
• Build relationships with members through active listening and effective communication
• Open accounts and submit simple loan applications after needs assessment
• Engage with members via follow-up calls and community events when appropriate
• Partner with branch leadership to maintain operational integrity and comply with policies
• Handle complex inquiries and cross-functional collaboration across the organization
• Adopt new tools to enhance member experience and consultation process
• Train new and existing team members as needed
• Promote adoption of digital products and campaigns
• Understand and comply with banking laws and Patelco policies
• Assess risk and contribute to compliance and performance
• Perform other duties as assigned
