Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a seasoned systems engineer to join the Telemetry Data Team onsite. You will develop, validate, and document telemetry requirements, interfaces, and ground support equipment, and carry out trade studies to inform technical decisions.

Travel to RTX facilities and customer sites is required. The role emphasizes experience with telemetry systems, system integration, and the ability to present complex findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience with System Integration and Test Environments.
• Experience with telemetry systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain system requirements, concepts of operations, and interface definitions related to telemetry.
• Develop new or upgrades to legacy ground support processing equipment.
• Research and evaluate, validate and document replacement telemetry system material and equipment for ground station deployment.
• Conduct trade studies and present findings to stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
• Develop integration documentation, verify requirements, and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Present technical findings project goals, risks, analysis reports, and technical documentation including architectural views to both internal and external customers.
• Travel is needed to support mission execution at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor locations, and customer environments.
