Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to design, analyze, and test analog and mixed-signal circuits for DoD programs. You will lead subsystem and PCB-level design, document analyses, and act as REA for designs, ensuring compliance with requirements.

Qualified candidates have a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years), strong MATLAB/MathCAD/Mathematica skills, and hands-on electronics lab experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with Electronics design with emphasis on systems and/or subsystems.
• Experience utilizing and creating electrical design specifications.
• Experience with analog electronics design, including one or more of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, comparator circuits, A/D converters, level shifters, and load switches.
• Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document analog and mixed signal electronics circuitry.
• Assist in designing electronics at the subsystem or PCB level.
• Help to see PCB development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.
• Be the “Responsible Engineering Authority” (REA) for FTS and/or TM designs.
• Generate and/or compile all required analysis and documentation verifying compliance with program and performance requirements.
