Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America is seeking an experienced embedded test engineer to lead testing, verification, and validation of vehicle telematics systems for the US market. You will work with global teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements and ensure quality standards are met, while mentoring junior staff and advancing test automation.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or related field) required.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in automotive/embedded testing.
• Experience with embedded automotive systems testing, validation, and verification.
• Strong Telematics knowledge with focus on Telematics Control Units.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Test, verify, and validate vehicle telematics systems (TCU, connectivity, emergency services) for US market.
• Lead resolution of technical problems and communicate with EST teams and Germany HQ.
• Mentor junior employees as needed.
• Work independently to prioritize tasks.
• Organize domestic and international test drives (Canada).
• Maintain and enhance TCU test automation.
• Collaborate in joint test team with on-board/off-board teams.
