Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America is seeking an experienced electrical/computer engineer for the US Vehicle Integration Infotainment Defense Testing team. You will lead testing, verification, and validation of telematics systems, including the TCU, for the US market.

You will mentor junior staff, work independently to prioritize tasks, and coordinate domestic and international test drives, collaborating with global teams to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience in development or validation of embedded systems in automotive or consumer electronics industries
• Testing, validation, and verification experience

Responsibilities

• Test, verify, and validate vehicle telematics systems including Telecomunication Control Unit (TCU), internet connectivity, emergency call services, and remote services for the US market
• Lead resolution of technical problems and communicate issues to EST department teams and headquarters in Germany
• Instruct and mentor junior employees on project tasks
• Work independently to determine task priorities and focus
• Organize Domestic and International (Canada) test drives for specific functions or components
• Collaborate between onboard and offboard testing teams
