Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) seeks an experienced engineer to own testing, validation, and verification of vehicle telematics systems, especially the TCU and connectivity services for the US market. You will lead technical investigations, mentor juniors, and drive test automation improvements.

The role requires 5–7 years in automotive/embedded testing, strong Telematics knowledge, and ability to work across global teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in automotive/embedded testing.
• Experience with Telematics and Telematics Control Units (TCU).
• Experience with embedded software and automotive solutions.
• Proficient in testing, validation, and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Test, verify, and validate vehicle telematics systems for US market (TCU, connectivity, emergency services).
• Lead resolution of technical problems, document issues, and communicate findings to EST teams and HQ.
• Mentor junior team members and prioritize tasks independently.
• Identify risks in telematics development and prioritize work accordingly.
• Maintain and enhance TCU test automation for current and future projects.
• Coordinate domestic and international test drives for specific components.
• Collaborate across onboard and offboard testing teams.
