Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Project Specialist in Brooklyn, NY. You will support planning, coordination, field execution, and documentation of telecom and network infrastructure projects, acting as a liaison among engineering, construction, contractors, and operations to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Half of your time is in the field and half in the office, with responsibilities including budgeting support, RFP coordination, design reviews, and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience coordinating telecommunications, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, networks, structured cabling, or network infrastructure.
• Experience supporting construction projects, contractor coordination, and field operations.
• Experience conducting site surveys, field inspections, construction progress reviews, and punch-list activities.
• Experience preparing project documentation, reports, schedules, and meeting records.
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate telecommunications, networks, and infrastructure projects from planning through construction and closeout.
• Schedule and conduct site surveys of telecommunications rooms, facilities, and infrastructure locations.
• Coordinate site access, work activities, permits, and right-of-way requirements.
• Provide field support during active construction and infrastructure projects.
• Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and engineering force account activities.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of RFPs, bid packages, and contract documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, construction meetings, and project coordination meetings.
• Support telecommunications system design and infrastructure implementation activities.
• Conduct pre-construction, progress, punch-list, and final inspections.
• Prepare daily field reports, inspection reports, punch lists, project updates, and construction documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Coordinate activities with engineering teams, construction managers, contractors, operations personnel, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and assist in resolving field issues to support successful project delivery.
• Perform additional project coordination and construction support duties as assigned.
