Job summary

MGT is seeking a Senior Telecom Solution Designer for remote work with regional travel across the United States. You will provide technical leadership, develop advanced designs, and mentor junior designers for complex telecommunications projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs and BOMs, producing layouts for voice/data/structured cabling, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, construction technology, or related field; equivalent training/experience considered.
• Five+ years of experience in communications design/engineering/estimating on telecommunications solutions.
• Knowledge of low-voltage/telecommunications standards, codes, design practices, and documentation.
• Experience with estimating or design tools such as System Surveyor, Visio, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex telecommunications and low-voltage design engagements from discovery through final transition.
• Review designs, specifications, BOMs, and technical deliverables for quality and constructability.
• Mentor junior designers and serve as SME for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare design layouts for voice, data, structured cabling, AV, security, access control, intrusion detection, and related systems.
• Coordinate system scope, layout, and drawings with clients and other disciplines.
• Oversee projects from inception through final transition, ensuring schedules and resources are managed.
