Job summary

Gtatelecom is seeking an Infrastructure Design Technician for a 12-month contract, operating on remote basis in the US. The role focuses on designing circuit paths, loads, and providing documentation to support network failures and maintenance activities.

You will design Layer 1 layouts in DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, and IP, while aligning with inventory records and SLA requirements. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical networking equipment and associated vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and follow established procedures.
• Experience with network design and provisioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill internal network orders and design circuit paths.
• Produce accurate design layout records and documentation.
• Design Layer 1 circuit layouts across DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, IP.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies in EIRG/FIRG databases.
• Collaborate with Planning and Engineering to provision equipment and circuits.
• Understand fiber cable configurations related to solutions.
• Maintain network infrastructure records in relevant systems.
• Process orders to meet SLAs, with strong time management.
• Provide technical support for engineering, installation, and testing.
• Contribute to project-based tasks as needed.
