Job summary

FedEx is seeking an accomplished attorney to serve as lead counsel for technology transactions, including SaaS, cloud, data licensing, and AI/ML agreements. You will guide contract structuring, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance for business and technology teams.

The role supports AI governance initiatives, policy development, and responsible deployment of AI across the organization, with in-house experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and Bar admission.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technology agreements (SaaS, licensing, data, cloud).
• Strong understanding of IP, data privacy and security, and commercial risk allocation.
• Strategic thinking with business-oriented mindset in a fast-paced tech environment.
• In-house experience in tech-heavy or regulated environments preferred.
• Experience advising on AI/ML transactions or policies; familiarity with AI governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead attorney on technology-related transactions (SaaS, cloud, data, AI).
• Advise on contract structures, commercial strategy, risk allocation and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance on third-party risk.
• Oversee outside counsel on complex tech transactions and disputes.
• Contribute to AI governance policies, guardrails, and decision frameworks.
• Provide guidance on AI-related contractual provisions, data privacy and security.
