Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Technology Program Manager to lead a global IT project portfolio within Gartner’s Consulting & Insights Technology organization. You will lead a complex portfolio, ensuring quality results, benefits realization, end-user satisfaction, and timely delivery while coordinating with geographically dispersed teams in an Agile/Scrum setting.

The role requires 10+ years of program management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT program management experience with strong ownership and accountability.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
• Leadership and communication skills with matrixed teams and executive stakeholders.
• Expertise in Product Backlog Refinement, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Agile Team Building, Release Management and Conflict Resolution.
• Ability to understand client expectations and resolve delivery issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global technology-based project portfolio and report progress to executives and cross-team stakeholders.
• Analyze initiative scope across management levels and organizational boundaries.
• Lead IT business partnership with senior leadership to drive results.
• Influence and manage expectations of clients, teams, management, and external groups.
• Establish project metrics, track health, analyze problems and develop resolution options.
• Plan strategic and tactical technology and people resources for large-scale projects.
• Direct multiple sub-team plans into a cohesive program.
