Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Category Management to own technology spend sourcing across hardware/telecom/cloud, software, or technology services. The role delivers savings, risk reduction and supplier performance for the enterprise.

You will lead category strategies, run end-to-end sourcing events, and coordinate cross-functional teams to align requirements and timelines. Strong negotiation and leadership across geographies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement, with at least 5 years focused on technology categories.
• 3+ years of experience leading or coaching team members; experience managing teams across multiple geographies is preferred.
• Strong understanding of technology commercial models (licensing, subscription, SOW/T&M/fixed-price) and related risk considerations.
• Ariba, Power BI, Excel familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage category strategies, sourcing plans and pipeline priorities for assigned technology spend; analyse spend, demand and market data to identify opportunities; build and maintain a prioritized opportunity pipeline.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations to secure value and policy compliance.
• Manage supplier performance, contract compliance and issue resolution; run business reviews and track SLAs and KPIs; drive supplier accountability.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align requirements, timelines and handoffs; serve as primary contact with business, IT and vendor leadership.
• Manage category budgets, savings tracking, resource utilization and delivery plans using metrics; analyze category performance to improve results.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends and emerging technologies (cloud, AI, cybersecurity) to inform strategy and negotiation positions.
• Lead process improvements and standardization to stabilize throughput and adoption of tools and playbooks.
• Oversee team performance across onshore and offshore locations; bridge procurement with scalable AI deployment for efficiency and cost-out strategies.
• Support Director in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
