Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Technology Category Management to own technology spend strategy across hardware/telecom/cloud, software, or tech services. You will lead sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier performance while coaching a diverse team.

Responsibilities include defining category strategies, driving cost savings, managing budgets, and aligning stakeholders across IT, finance, and legal. A strong background in technology contracts and analytics is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement with 5+ years in technology categories.
• 3+ years leading or coaching team members; multi-geography experience preferred.
• Proven success negotiating complex, high-value tech contracts and delivering measurable savings.
• Strong understanding of technology commercial models (licensing, subscriptions, etc.) and risk considerations.
• Advanced analytical skills; spend analytics and sourcing tools experience.
• Excellent communication and executive presence; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with MA&D sourcing support; healthcare/pharma or regulated industry is a plus.
• Professional certification (CPSM, CPP, ISM or similar) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage category strategies, sourcing plans and pipeline priorities for assigned technology spend.
• Own category productivity: identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities; build a prioritized pipeline.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations.
• Drive productivity delivery by validating savings and ensuring implementation.
• Manage supplier performance, contracts, risks, and run business reviews with KPIs and SLAs.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align requirements and timelines; be primary contact for leadership.
• Manage category budgets, savings tracking and resource utilization; monitor performance metrics.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, emerging technologies and vendor capabilities.
• Support MA&D and corporate initiatives, including due diligence and synergy identification.
• Lead process improvements and standardization; update policies and playbooks.
• Oversee team performance across onshore/offshore locations; coach and develop staff.
• Bridge procurement with scalable AI deployment for efficiency and cost-out strategies.
• Support Director in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
