Job summary

NYS Office of Information Technology Services seeks a Technology Analyst 2 (Human-Centered Design) to lead the design and implementation of user-focused business systems and tools. You will collaborate with managers and IT professionals to translate requirements into technical specifications, creating products that prioritize comfort, accessibility, and function.

Qualifications

Six (6) years of information technology experience with two (2) years in human centered design.
Substitution options include degrees with relevant IT experience.
Preference for Human-Centered Design certification and UX design experience.

Responsibilities

Design and oversee business systems and tools for user comfort and accessibility.
Translate requirements into technical specifications for interfaces.
Lead and supervise a team of Technology Analyst 1s in HCD.
Coordinate data exchange and interface operations.
Perform usability assessments and workload analyses.
Create wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes.
Provide leadership for programs, processes, and personnel.
Support interface engineering staff and cross-team collaboration.
