Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Beverly, Massachusetts, seeks a Senior Technician II-Engineering to operate in a highly technical environment, performing a range of manufacturing and testing tasks.

You will troubleshoot test failures, support engineers, and assist operators with production hardware in a space-qualified setting. Preferred candidates have 10+ years in electronics assembly/testing, hands-on experience with RF/microwave equipment, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electronics assembly and testing.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
• Experienced in soldering and cable assembly.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain organized.
• Comfortable working with cross functional teams.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast paced environment.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and process.
• Demonstrated proficiency in space qualified construction and testing techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in documentation generation, organization, and storage.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot product test failures to the component level and determine root causes.
• Generate NCRs for production test issues.
• Support Product Engineers in resolving production-related issues.
• Assist operators with testing and troubleshooting production hardware.
• Perform failure analysis using strong troubleshooting techniques.
• Operate RF/Microwave test equipment and fixtures.
