Job summary

Motional in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Technician to join our office-based team. This role focuses on building, testing, and validating advanced electromechanical systems for autonomous and electric vehicle platforms.

Ideal candidates will have deep electrical/mechanical knowledge, hands-on fabrication skills, and the ability to document findings clearly while maintaining safety and quality standards in a rapid prototype environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced with harness fabrication and assembly.
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems—CAN, Ethernet, low-voltage, sensors, and actuators.
• Expected to work efficiently and collaboratively within a close knit team environment
• Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromechanical issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in complex wire harness fabrication, with the proven ability to execute builds from a BOM and schematics.
• Support prototype builds, retrofits, and system integrations for advanced vehicle programs.
• Assemble, diagnose, and repair electromechanical systems.
• Able to perform at a high level in a rapid prototype research and development environment.
• Create concise documentation of work being performed.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards across all work performed.
