Job summary

Motional in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Technician to join our team supporting the build, testing, and validation of advanced electromechanical systems for autonomous and electric vehicle platforms. This is a hands-on, senior-level role requiring deep electrical and mechanical knowledge, with an emphasis on harness fabrication, system integration, and documentation.

Based in our Pittsburgh office, the role requires in-office days each week.

Qualifications

• Experience with harness fabrication and assembly.
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems—CAN, Ethernet, low‑voltage, sensors, and actuators.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a close knit team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromechanical issues.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in complex wire harness fabrication from BOM and schematics.
• Support prototype builds, retrofits, and system integrations for advanced vehicle programs.
• Assemble, diagnose, and repair electromechanical systems.
• Perform at a high level in a rapid prototype R&D environment.
• Create concise documentation of work performed.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards across all work performed.
