Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician - Environmental or Engineering in our Acton, MA office. The position will assist with sample collection of diverse materials including, but not limited to, soil, sediment, water, and air for environmental tests; compile construction quality assurance (CQA) monitoring data related to landfill and environmental remediation construction projects, provide neat, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of all field-related activities to senior level project personnel; and provide additional field and office support to geologists and engineers for a diverse private and public sector client base. The role requires the ability to comprehend construction plans and specifications and a strong willingness to perform extensive fieldwork and travel for extensive periods of time, including overnights, weekends, and holidays; and a strong willingness to work outdoors. An interest in building a career in the environmental consulting field is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, radiation safety (for a portable soil moisture/density gauge), first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring that will be paid for by Geosyntec. We also offer professional and technical development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our staff to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.

Overnight travel: Up to 100%
