Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Senior Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, aiming to build Customer loyalty through trust and reliable service.

You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, diagnose malfunctions with authorization, conduct multi-point inspections, maintain an inventory of special tools, and participate in factory training to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles while delivering an exceptional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair/maintenance per repair order to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of special tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license

• A passion for cars and customer service

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.

• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.

• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.

• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.

• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as "special tools."

• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.

• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?
