Job summary

MicroHealth, LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to produce clear, accurate, and compliant technical documentation and proposal content for federal, state, and local government RFP responses.

You will work with Technical SMEs, engineers, and proposal leadership to capture complex IT solutions — including cloud, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure, or data/AI — in persuasive writing for government evaluators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience as a technical writer, with substantial government proposal or technical documentation work.
• Ability to translate complex IT subject matter into clear, evaluator-friendly writing.
• Solid understanding of government solicitation structures and compliance-driven writing.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and attention to technical accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple writing assignments under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize content for government proposals and RFx responses.
• Interview SMEs and engineers to capture and translate complex IT solutions.
• Develop system descriptions, process narratives, diagrams captions, and solution summaries.
• Build and maintain compliance matrices addressing L and M requirements.
• Manage writing of assigned proposal sections against schedule and escalate risks.
• Ensure consistency of terminology, voice, and formatting across content.
• Incorporate feedback from color team reviews into revised drafts.
• Collaborate with graphics and DTP resources to integrate narrative and visuals.
