Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role sits in the Technology Support department and offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment in Tampa.

You will draft technical documentation, work with project stakeholders, and ensure documentation aligns with SDLC processes, including user and admin materials.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation
• Fluency with technical reporting techniques including Agile methodologies
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio
• Willingness and ability to pass background check/security screening

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain technical documentation across IT projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures
• Document projects through the SDLC
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation
