The candidate will interview technical specialists, translate complex topics into plain language, coordinate review cycles, and ensure accessibility and version control across documentation.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of technical writing or editing experience.
• Experience writing help content for information systems or comparable software documentation.
• Advanced Word styles/template development and PowerPoint template creation.
• Ability to translate complex topics into plain language.
• Excellent editing, organization, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit user help, manuals, functional descriptions, reports, and technical deliverables.
• Create standardized Microsoft Word templates with controlled styles and formatting.
• Develop standardized PowerPoint templates and executive briefings.
• Interview technical specialists and validate source information.
• Prepare outlines and drafts and coordinate review and approval cycles.
• Apply plain-language principles and maintain consistent terminology.
• Support accessible Section 508-compliant materials and document version control.
