Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC in Bedford, MA seeks a Senior Technical Writer to support the NC3 CVR Increment 2 PMO at Hanscom AFB. This full-time role requires translating complex DoD/AF technical data into clear manuals and user guides for diverse audiences.

You'll produce original papers, edit documents, manage revisions, and maintain an electronic library, ensuring agency style and document control. A Top Secret clearance and a BA/BS are required, with 7–10 years of applicable experience.

Qualifications

• Clear command of the English language and strong writing/grammar skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical data into user-friendly formats.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with MS Project and MS Access is a plus.
• Experience creating technical documents in a DoD/DoW or Air Force context is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare original technical papers, manuals, policies, specifications, and reports.
• Write and edit user documentation, how-to guides, instruction manuals, procedures, and training materials.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-tailored content.
• Ensure documents meet agency style, formatting, tone, and accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, vendors, and customer representatives to define technical specs.
• Maintain and organize an electronic library of signed documents and final presentations.
• Conduct final reviews for layout, grammar, and editorial quality before release.
• Support document revisions, version control, and coordination of editions as needed.
