Job summary

Apogee is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support the NCN CVR Increment 2 PMO at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. This full-time role focuses on turning complex technical data into clear, user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences.

You will prepare manuals, guides, procedures, and training materials; collaborate with engineers and program managers; and maintain a centralized document library with rigorous version control. A TS clearance and 7–10 years of DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required with 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Experience in a DoD/AF environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical papers, manuals, policies, specifications, and reports.
• Write and edit user documentation, how-to guides, instruction manuals, procedures, and training materials.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences.
• Ensure documents meet agency style, formatting, tone, and accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, vendors, and customer representatives to define technical specifications.
• Maintain and organize an electronic library of signed documents and final presentations.
• Ensure consistency and clarity across related documents, including citation of sources and generation of tables of contents.
• Conduct final reviews for layout, grammar, and editorial quality before release.
• Support document revisions, version control, and coordination of different editions as needed.
