Job summary

Cisco Isovalent team serves as a centralized documentation hub for Hypershield and related cloud-native security solutions. You will craft developer and user documentation, align with engineering, and drive documentation strategy across products and environments.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and field teams to translate complex concepts into accessible materials, while supporting security, networking, and cloud-native use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Writer supporting enterprise software products.
• Experience leading documentation initiatives across the product lifecycle, coordinating with technical stakeholders and managing deliverables.
• Experience with networking, security, or cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, or similar).
• Experience creating user guides, technical documentation, and other content for enterprise users.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical documentation efforts for Hypershield networking and security solutions, including concepts, tutorials, and guides.
• Partner with engineering, solution architects, product management, and SMEs to translate complex concepts into clear docs.
• Work with products and environments to understand workflows, validate documentation, and identify gaps.
• Develop content for users with varying levels of technical experience, including security engineers and operations teams.
• Help evolve documentation practices, information architecture, and developer content standards.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across East Coast Time business hours.
