Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Technical Writer to lead documentation for Cisco Hypershield, Isovalent technologies, and related enterprise solutions.

You will develop both developer and user documentation across security, networking, and cloud-native use cases, partnering with engineers, product managers, and field teams to clarify complex concepts. Responsibilities include end-to-end documentation ownership, validating workflows, identifying gaps, and advancing information

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 15+ years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 12+ years of related experience; or a PhD with 8+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Writer supporting enterprise software products.
• Experience providing technical leadership for documentation initiatives, including driving documentation projects end-to-end, coordinating with technical stakeholders, and managing documentation deliverables across the product lifecycle.
• Experience with networking, security, or cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, or similar container and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience creating user guides, technical documentation, and other content for enterprise users.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical documentation efforts for Cisco Hypershield, Isovalent technologies, and related enterprise solutions.
• Create, update, and maintain developer and user documentation spanning security, networking, and cloud-native use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering, solution architects, product management, and field teams to translate complex concepts into clear, accurate documentation.
