Job summary

Cisco Isovalent, now part of Cisco, seeks a Senior Technical Writer to support Hypershield and related security and networking capabilities. You will join a small, collaborative documentation team, develop product expertise, and help make complex technology accessible to customers and engineers.

You will lead end-to-end documentation efforts, partner with engineers and product managers to translate concepts, validate content, and align with information architecture and developer content

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field with extensive related experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Writer for enterprise software.
• Experience leading documentation initiatives end-to-end with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with networking, security, or cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Experience creating user guides and technical content for enterprise users.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical documentation for Hypershield and related technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, solution architects, PMs, and other SMEs to translate complex concepts into clear docs.
• Work with products/environments to validate documentation and identify gaps.
• Develop content for audiences with varying technical levels, from security engineers to platform teams.
• Help evolve documentation practices, IA, and developer content standards.
