Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA seeks a Technical Writer to support a national intelligence program on the Cloud Investment Multi-Cloud Management team. You will gather, analyze, and compose technical documents for technical and non-technical personnel, including SOPs, manuals, and proposals.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years experience (or Master’s with 7+, PhD/JD with 4+), and proven ability to edit complex documents and coordinate a small writing team.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• Bachelor's with 9+ years experience; Master's with 7+; PhD/JD with 4+ experience accepted.
• Experience leading a small team of writers.
• Proven ability to use Confluence, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to research cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Compose technical documents including SOPs, user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Edit functional descriptions and system specifications.
• Research and ensure proper technical terminology across documents.
• Organize material and maintain editorial standards and style.
• Collaborate with PMO to maintain uniform style and language.
