Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical training experience.

• Equipment installation and integration experience.
• Experience training maintenance technicians, field service technicians, engineers, or similar technical personnel.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Technical Training Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with a growing advanced manufacturing organization in Western North Carolina. This position is ideal for someone who combines hands-on industrial equipment experience with the ability to train field service technicians and other technical personnel.

This is not a traditional HR or corporate training position. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, PLC/control systems, equipment installation, integration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver hands-on technical training for field service technicians, internal teams, service partners, and customers
• Train technicians on complex industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
• Provide classroom, hands-on, virtual, and self-paced technical instruction
• Teach equipment installation, integration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices
• Develop technical training materials, procedures, assessments, and certification pathways

Schedule: First Shift | Fully On-site

Pay: Approximately $45-$55/hour, depending on experience

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Engineer, Technical Trainer, or technical leader who has transitioned into training while maintaining a strong hands-on understanding of industrial equipment.
