Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. seeks a Technical Support Engineer 2 to join the Managed Services team in Dallas. You will support Windows/Linux platforms, VMware infrastructure, AD, and network security, ensuring SLA adherence and guidance across multiple data center environments.

You will troubleshoot VMware, firewalls, VPNs, IIS/Apache, and SQL/IIS services while documenting procedures and helping mature operational processes in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 3+ years of experience with Windows and/or Linux platforms
• 3+ years of experience with VMware virtualization
• Experience with Active Directory, replication, group policies and folder redirection
• Experience with Microsoft SQL and IIS services
• Scripting experience with Python, PHP or PowerShell
• Experience with MySQL, Apache and ColdFusion
• Backup and patching knowledge
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to virtual platforms and infrastructure
• Perform maintenance within VMware and vCenter/vCloud
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto) and VPNs
• Manage Windows server infrastructure including DHCP, DNS
• Maintain Active Directory and interop with disparate directories
• Troubleshoot web services including IIS, Apache, ColdFusion
• Provide proactive monitoring for production systems
• Assist in project delivery and on-call rotation
• Document procedures and improve daily processes
• Travel as needed and collaborate across teams
