Job summary

Crestron Electronics Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide first-line support for Crestron platforms and video conferencing solutions, via phone, email, and chat. You will resolve issues, gather details, and escalate when needed.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, Linux familiarity, and ability to document findings clearly. Travel may be required up to 10%. Requirements include a Bachelor's in a technology field or 3+ years of relevant experience, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technology field or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
3+ years installing, configuring, and/or supporting technology for Commercial, Residential, AV.
Knowledge of Networking (Multicast, Dante, AES67) and Diagnostics.
Familiar with Linux OS.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain customer rapport throughout the support process.
Gather problem specifics: description, scope, configurations, and deployment environment.
Review documentation with customers and reference Crestron/conferencing service provider docs.
Perform high-level analysis of log files and basic network analysis for case documentation.
Create RMAs as needed and contribute to knowledge base articles.
Other duties as required.
