Crestron Electronics Inc. seeks an Advanced Technical Support Group Engineer (Remote) to resolve complex customer issues from a remote location with periodic on-site visits. The role requires strong AV and software tools proficiency, plus the ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients.

You will work closely with dealers and customers, gather diagnostic data, review designs, and escalate when needed. A Bachelor's in EE/CS is preferred, and travel up to 70% is expected.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years in the AV industry and 5 years in Customer Support.
• Crestron software development tools: Simpl Windows, Simpl+, Simpl#, D3Pro.
• Ability to read and interpret system schematics and floorplans.
• Proficient with MS Windows and MacOS; Crestron certified programmer is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalated Technical Support cases.
• Provide remote and on-site support to Crestron’s dealers and customers.
• Stage dealer projects and programs to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Review project designs to ensure best practices.
• Gather logs and data to resolve issues.
• Perform site surveys to verify installations meet Crestron standards.
• Communicate resolutions clearly and manage customer expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and liaise with engineers/product managers.
