Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Solutions Engineer to partner with Field and Engineering teams.

You will deliver high-touch support and tailored technical solutions for the largest Databricks customers in the Digital Native Business segment, focusing on Spark, ML/AI workloads, and data technologies. You will triage complex issues, build rapid POCs, and train customer teams while collaborating with cross-functional groups onsite.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• 4+ years delivering production Spark/ML/AI solutions with Python/Java/Scala.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL tooling.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Spark/SQL/Delta/Streaming issues.
• Collaborate with Field and Engineering to deliver high-touch technical solutions.
• Develop playbooks and knowledge base for Spark, ML, and AI workflows.
• Train customer teams on performance tuning and best practices.
• Lead technical work with cross-functional teams and document self-service solutions.
• Engage in on-site collaboration with Field Engineering, Sales, and Product teams.
• Advocate for customers in business reviews and maintain trusted advisor relationships.
• Pilot new processes and drive continuous improvements in customer success.
• Travel ~20% to customer sites for engagements.
