Job summary

Vertex Values is seeking a senior technical support professional to act as the final escalation point for highly complex client issues. You will provide advanced troubleshooting for data-driven applications, databases, APIs, and Linux-based environments.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs, manage on-call rotations, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in technical support, application troubleshooting, or systems engineering.
• Ideally located on the West Coast or able to work Pacific Time Zone hours.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience; hands-on work with REST and SOAP APIs; Linux/Unix exposure.
• Troubleshooting data-driven applications connected to relational databases, XML sources, and high-volume web services.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and debugging across various technologies.
• Ability to manage high-stakes customer escalations with composure and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final escalation point for highly complex client issues and drive resolutions.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for data-driven applications, databases, APIs, Java, Linux.
• Act as customer support liaison during pre- and post-implementation phases.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to meet customer needs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to less senior staff on escalations.
• Create and maintain technical knowledge base articles and best practices.
• Maintain shared support environments and participate in on-call rotation.
