Job summary

Vertex Service Partners is seeking an Analytics Engineer, Business Solutions to bridge how our brands operate and the data models, dashboards, and internal applications that support them. You will partner with FP&A, Marketing, Operations, and the Data & AI Engineering team to translate ambiguous business problems into trusted analytics solutions and lightweight automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong SQL and data modeling from business requirements.
• Experience with dbt or quick to learn modern data transformation frameworks.
• Experience building dashboards in Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience building lightweight internal applications using AI-assisted coding tools.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and collaborative development practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts to business solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for data and BI requests from FP&A, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain dashboards and analytical reporting that provide actionable insights.
• Develop gold-layer data models using dbt and SQL to support dashboards and internal applications.
• Build lightweight internal applications using AI-assisted development tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Identify and implement lightweight automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Validate data and reporting against operational source systems, including ServiceTitan.
• Translate ambiguous business requests into clearly defined technical requirements and plans.
• Identify opportunities for AI, automation, and reusable logic to reduce manual work.
