Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Technical Services Project Manager in Promontory, Utah to support the new Operation Program Management (OPM) department within Space Systems Division. The role interfaces with Manufacturing and the PMO to drive program execution and cost control.

The candidate will lead manufacturing schedule coordination, resource planning, and process improvement initiatives, communicating effectively with all levels of management, including executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Experience in leadership and project management.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive schedule management and cost accountability for Manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Work Centers and Program Management to optimize execution.
• Define and monitor process metrics for manufacturing work cell functionality.
• Identify and propose manufacturing improvements, yield management, and production rate enhancements.
• Ensure adequate resources to execute programs and coordinate with PMO, Manufacturing, Test, SCM, Engineering, and Shipping.
• Engage with programs and functional teams to interpret scheduling requirements.
