Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Technical Services Manager to support the Life Sciences North America team.

You will lead field technical services, interpreting drawings and specifications, and coordinating with home office engineering and clients. In this role, you will oversee change management, permitting with AHJs, revision control of construction documents, and responses to specification deviations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in engineering/construction fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and construction of heavy-industrial process facilities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting documents and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in the Permitting process with AHJs.
• Coordinate with Design-Build contractors when their efforts move to the field.
• Ensure revision control for construction documents and timely information on design changes.
• Lead responses for specification deviations and manage NCRs with Field Quality.
• Mentor subordinate team members toward project objectives.
